5 Natural Skincare Products That Have Changed My Beauty Routine

If you happen to meet me in real life, you may notice that I have pretty flawless skin. Cue Beyonce’s “Flawless” in the background! I assure you that I’m not bragging, I’m just sharing that I haven’t had acne, or a persistent pimple, since high school. The key to having clear and soft skin doesn’t have to be a coveted mystery. I simply put natural and often vegan skincare products on my face. These products that I will share with you have kept my skin glowing, moisturized, and most of all, healthy! What you put into your body matters, this is abundantly true for what you put on your body as well.

1. The Creme Shop’s Cleansing Towelettes

Depending on how much make-up you wear or how much oil collects on your skin on a day-to-day basis, will determine whether you need cleansing wipes. I find that I really like The Creme Shop’s Charcoal & Lemon Pre-Wet Towelettes because they really get makeup, oil, and other build-up off my skin. With a few thorough swipes from these bad-boys, I feel confident that I’ll get the most out of my facial cleanser. The Creme Shop’s towelettes are cruelty-free, paraben, sulfate and alcohol-free. Most of all, they are vegan. The type that I use has charcoal powder and lemon extract in them to help detoxify the skin and minimize pores.

2. Acure’s Cleansing Cream

I’m currently using Acure’s Radically Rejuvenating Cleansing Cream. It’s so velvety soft that it feels like I’m messaging my face when I apply it. I love that I can use this after I’ve taken my make-up off with a cleansing wipe or even when I don’t feel like doing that step. My makeup comes right off no matter what!  It’s infused with olive oil, cocoa butter, and argan oil which is an oil I’ve used in the past for added moisture– absolutely love it. It also has mint for that extra cleansing umph. What’s an added plus is that this cleanser is totally vegan. I can trust that there are no harmful chemicals that stripe away my skin’s natural oils and softness, it just gently and thoroughly cleanses my face.

3. Pacifica’s Face Cream

Whether you have dry, combination, or oily skin, we all need to moisturize. Recently, I was on the hunt for a replenishing cream and found the Pacifica Beauty Dreamy Youth Day & Night Face Cream. Pacifica is another fave vegan brand, with amazing skincare lines like their coconut and kale series. My face tends to be dry and after I began using fewer toners, I still needed a cushiony soft cream moisturizer after my face wash. Some moisturizers I used didn’t seem like they melded into the skin, rather they just evaporated once I put them on. Pacifica’s Dreamy Youth is a deep moisturizer packed with antioxidants and floral stem cells to lift the skin and offer amazing radiance.

4. Acure’s Brightening Glowing Serum

Acure is back on my list with their Brightening Glowing Serum. After I moisturize, I put on a serum to help lock in all the good properties of my skincare routine while also adding a little more glow. With just two pumps, I pat the serum into my skin and it instantly feels even more hydrated and smooth. The serum is made up of argan, pumpkin, and cranberry oils. It’s suitable for all skin types. I think it’s the perfect pick-me-up step, so much so that once I put it on I question whether I want to put foundation on top. So, this serum is my go-to for a natural glowing no-makeup look and it’s also great just before going to bed.

5. The Body Shop’s Seaweed Exfoliator

An exfoliator is almost a bonus product but I believe it’s a highly needed step to include in your skincare arsenal. I find that exfoliating my skin every once in a while offers a deep scrub that lets me know my skin is actually as healthy as it appears. Also, I just like to have an exfoliator in the mix to make sure I’m getting any last grudging bit of dead skin off. The Body Shop Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator is up for this task. I’ve used The Body Shop for years and they are hands down one of my favorite and most trusted skincare lines. Their mineral-rich seaweed exfoliator is like a gel with jojoba beads for the scrub. It lathers really nicely too. Sometimes after all the massaging, I want a trusty product to clear out those pores. I usually will substitute this exfoliator for my cleanser and then go on to use my moisturizer and serum.

When I use these products day and night, I really and truly feel like I’m taking care of my skin. Since pulling all these products together into my regime, I’ve noticed there’s a vibrancy and total hydration to my once dry skin. I nearly get excited to wash my face because I feel like I’m getting the best spa experience right at home.
