It’s the beginning of a new era — I’m starting a YouTube channel! There are many creative endeavors that I’ve been polishing and my YouTube channel is finally ready to share. I’m transitioning my film and TV reviews to a new home. I hope you enjoy this more interactive medium where I’ll express commentary on the incredible titles, from Netflix and beyond, that are out right now and coming soon!

Why I’m Starting YouTube

In my intro, I mention my first content series on the channel, Twist Out: Unraveling TV & Movies With Kai Adia! Reading my poetry in virtual open mic nights awakened something in me. I realized I’m not as camera shy as I thought I was. Plus, with so many movies and television shows busting out of digital platforms and studios, I felt I couldn’t keep up by only writing reviews. Finding a new way to discuss this topic that I truly love has been motivating me to look outside of blogging alone.  You can thank Black YouTubers: Kennie JD, Kelly Stamps, and Cydnee Black for further inspiring me through their funny and engaging content.

From virtual poetry to motivational YouTubers, my mind started churning on what I could do and “Twist Out” was born. I’ll begin posting my videos on this blog as well as YouTube. kaiadia.com is still my go-to space for sharing my written word and letting you all know about amazing small businesses and other Los Angeles lifestyle goodies.
