21 Ninety Helps You ‘Pose N Post’ Your Best Angles!

With the right camera, it seems like anyone can pick a spot in the city and capture the moment. Even so, sometimes you still want the excitement of stepping into a set and having a photographer get all your best angles. As a young blogger, I don’t always know how to get the best photos for the gram or take a snapshot of a festival or event like a photojournalist. Yet, I’ve really wanted a time to shake off my camera-shy self and take some great photos and that’s exactly what I got at 21 Ninety’s thrilling Pose N Post event in Downtown LA.

Strike A Pose At Pose N Post!

The 21 Ninety and Blavity team left no box unchecked at Pose N Post providing spot-on photographers and fun set pieces to conjure up whatever mood attendees wanted to achieve. Beautiful journals and chilled rosé were also abundant, setting off a celebratory and fun-filled evening in my eyes. Comfort LA even catered the event sharing delectable black-bunned sliders, banana pudding and so much more.

When I made it to the event, I was instantly taken with the thoughtful and creative sets. None were too jarring or uncomfortable. It was very much like a fun apartment just with a few elements you’d probably find at a cafe or a black girl magick fairy garden. The studio had a beautiful floral swingset before a wall of flowers, a lovely canopy bed, a blank wall for the baddies wanting crisp portraits and even more.

You better believe I got right to work trying to smize and pose. This was ever so easy to do when I met a talented photographer, Crystal. She was one of the professional photographers capturing the essence of the entire event and even snapping a few photos of attendees like me. Thankfully, she walked around the sets with me. This had to be one of the greatest things about Pose N Post, that it is geared toward helping content creators meet other talented individuals and of course gather some great content.

A Meetup For The Creatives

What’s so lovely about Pose N Post it’s curated to be a creative hot-spot and it truly lived up to that expectation. As the evening went on, Pose N Post became more and more like a party. Great music filled the studio along with excited laughter and conversation. The atmosphere naturally inspired me to share contact info and make connections with other amazing black women.

In the Halloween spirit, 21 Ninety will be hosting another Pose N Post with a 90’s flair. It’ll be kicking off Oct. 30th. If you haven’t already stepped out and taken advantage of this amazing night, you definitely should. You just might see me there if you do. 21 Ninety hopes to have a Pose N Post meetup every month!  Be sure to sign up and get your tickets on Eventbrite
